Some Odds and Ends
I received my sample ballot in the mail today -- it's not a good sign that it's not very well designed....

The good news is that my voting place is a five minute walk for me. I plan to get there around 6 AM, so even if there's a huge line I should be able to vote and by on my way by, oh, 5 PM.

I'm also hoping that I can start a fight between the lawyers from the Democrats and the lawyers from the Republicans who will be hanging around, to provide a bit of amusement for my fellow voters.

This is likely going to jinx me, but remember a while back when someone had apparently used my one website e-mail addy as the source of spam? Well, I turned off incoming messages for a while and removed the clickable link from my website (although I left the e-mail addy up, just in plain text form). After a while I turned it back on, and was happy to see that it wasn't being used as a source of Spam, and had gone back to just the usual 15+ spam messages a day deal.

But for the past few weeks, it's dropped to a trickle. I've gotten maybe 1 spam message every three days. While I can't be sure, I think this is from just removing the e-mail as a clickable link -- the bots that troll the net can't just snap it up.

Here's hoping it stays that way.

Tomorrow night is the Halloween Party at Rebel Monkey. I need to get my costume ready for tomorrow, but I am disappointed in that, yet again, I have failed to obtain a date so I could convince her to dress up in some hot and sexy outfit.

Not that I'm shallow or anything, of course.

My volleyball team is still undefeated, and currently the only undefeated team in our division. The bad news is that they have had to reschedule another one of our games. So now, inside of wrapping up in November, we'll be playing until mid-December, and that's not counting the playoffs (assuming we make it in).

Speaking of sports, though, I signed up for the Winter Touch Football League. I'll be going as an individual again, so here's hoping I get on a good team. Or at least one with a lot of cute single girls who like tall guys.
